Business Standard on the new rush towards radio

Business Standard is reporting about the new rush by private sector Indian firms to enter the radio broadcasting field.

It says that
as many as 101 companies have applied for 330 FM radio licences in 91 cities. Yesterday was the last day to submit applications for FM licences to be issued as part of the second phase of the expansion of the sector. This comes nearly five years after the sector was opened up in 2000.
